Our Discipleship Pathway

If you have been to our church you have probably seen or heard our mission statement which states that we are a church that intentionally focuses on "Making disciples through biblical worship, education, service & fellowship. To break down and what that means at West Side we have a series of next steps you can take on our discipleship pathway.

Know God -website.png

It is our desire for everyone to come to know God by finding salvation in Jesus Christ and worship weekly with his church. Being a Christian is about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has provided everything to need to have a relationship with God through His sacrifice for us and our repentance & faith.

NEXT STEP:
Let us help you make that decision to give your life to Christ. Our Pastor gives that invitation each week at the end of our worship service to receive Christ at the alter or if you prefer you can speak with the Pastor or a Deacon in our prayer room after the service.

Find Community -website.png

It is our desire for everyone to find community in a weekly bible study;
either a Sunday School Class or a small group.

NEXT STEP:

Download our Sunday School pamphlet and get a feel for which Sunday School class is right for you. Once you have found the right group your welcome to start attending and growing into the disciple Christ is calling you to be!

Make Disciples -website.png

The third step in the Discipleship Pathway is to participate in a yearly Discipleship Group, or a “D-Group.” A D-Group is a gender specific, closed group of 3-5 believers who meet together weekly for the purpose of accelerated spiritual transformation. A person joins the D-Group by invitation only, with most D-Groups being formed out of relationships in a Sunday School Class or small group

NEXT STEP:

If you believe God is calling you to lead a D-group let the Pastor know and we can begin to equip and resource you for this ministry.

Change the World -website.png

We believe that God is calling his church to change the world through missions, evangelism, and volunteering. Baptist Men & Women on Mission groups meet for Missions Night on the 3rd Wednesday night of the month to disciple believers to live on mission in Berea, Kentucky, North America and around the world.

There are also many opportunities to change lives within West Side by using your time and talents to volunteer in the church! Whatever your area of giftedness, find a place to serve today.

NEXT STEPS:
-Attend our next Missions Night
-Take the SHAPE assessment an we will find a place for you serve here at West Side.
